Ahmed Sudi

Ahmed Sudi Bosnavi (Foča, Ottoman Empire, now in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1592-3/8 May 1598)〔BURRILL, KATHLEEN. "SUDI, AHMED". In Encyclopaedia of Islam. vol. 9, San-Sze. 2nd ed. Leiden: E. J. Brill, 1997. 762. ISBN 90-04-10422-4.〕 was an Ottoman translator and commentator. He is famous due to his comments on the Divan of Hafez and Gulistan and Bostan of Sa'di.
Sudi in his ''Sherh-i Gulistan'' in many places have criticized the previous interpreters. One of the main targets of his critics is Shem'i.

It is known that he is buried in Yusuf Pasha mosque in Aksaray but the exact place of his tombstone is not clear.〔
